Born in Silk: The Story of Silora Orient

From a university friendship to a silk flower workshop in China, through five years of craft, to a spring afternoon in New York — a Spanish pianist comes to order cherry blossom earrings. We look up, see her eyes, and make something else entirely. That unplanned piece is where Silora Orient truly begins.

The Story Behind the Flowers

Why We Made This Film

Silk flower jewelry is, by its nature, a quiet art. It does not announce itself. It accumulates — petal by petal, colour by colour, hour by hour. We made this film because we wanted to show the slowness. The dedication. The particular texture of a workshop where everyone is paying attention.

And we wanted to show New York receiving it — the moment this slow, handmade Eastern craft stepped into a city that moves very fast, and the city stopped to look.
